Neal Gyngard to Introduce RAD Torque Systems during West Coast Wind Farm Tour

July 24, 2017

The man behind the popular online blog, Tower Climbing Grease Monkeys (TCGM), Neal Gyngard is on tour this summer visiting 30+ Wind Farms along the North American West Coast. As part of his tour, Neal will be featuring key RAD Torque products, such as the E-RAD BLU, to raise awareness about how wind farms can solve many common issues that face the industry today.

To kick off his tour, Neal stopped by the RAD Torque Systems head office of New World Technologies (our parent company) for a quick tour of how our torque wrenches are made. In case you missed it, you can watch it here:

THE CREATION OF TCGM

Neal created Tower Climbing Grease Monkeys in 2012 a platform (via social media) for wind technicians to share industry-specific information such as troubleshooting tips, safety topics, tool reviews, and job opportunities. It also sells TCGM gear — a lifestyle brand that allows technicians all over the world to share their pride in their work and show they are a part of something special.

Neal Gyngard is a wind technician with over 10 years of experience servicing turbines.

About Tower Climbing Grease Monkeys

Neal Gyngard, the founder of Tower Climbing Grease Monkeys (TCGM), had a vision to create a community where wind turbine technicians from all over the world could share their knowledge and experiences. In 2012, he launched a Facebook Group under the name of Tower Climbing Grease Monkeys, and the group quickly grew in popularity. Neal’s aim was to create a space where technicians could talk shop, solve issues, and discuss best practices and equipment.

After years of balancing his work as a wind turbine technician with running TCGM, Neal decided to take a leap of faith and go full-time with his business. He left his position as Site Turbine Manager at his local wind farm in 2017, and since then, he has visited 85 wind farms and met thousands of technicians. TCGM has become more than just a merchandise company; it’s now a community that adds value to the lives of wind turbine technicians. Neal’s mission to serve those who give so much of themselves to the industry is in full effect, and TCGM continues to partner with some of the biggest names in the industry to promote products and services that benefit technicians.
